Confidence Video

Here is a video on confidence. Here are my favorite take-aways:
- Confidence is a feeling – it can conquer fears. What would it be like if you won $10 million dollars? Would you confidence increase? Would it enable you to give more to people? If so, try to go out today and pretend you have that $10 million.
You need more money is that true?

Here is a video from Byron Katie discussing our need for money.
Some highlights include:
What happens when you ask yourself you need more money, and you don’t have it? You feel stressed, fear, frustrated. Notice how you tense up.
No one has more money than they have.
There are two ways to live your life: 1) Be stressed out or 2) Do not have stress.
You can say…I do not need more money. Why is this true? It is because you are living okay right now.
Imagine being evicted and now sitting on your neighbors lawn. You no longer have a car. Now, you can ask do you need more money at this moment? You are still okay sitting on the lawn. The sky is blue. You can be grateful that you no longer have to pay the mortgage. Would you notice the flowers, the sky, the ground around you before?
With or without money, we should be happy and have peace. Peace does not change whether you have money or not. What is real? Katie Byron says that our belief system that we need money is not real. It is all about our attitudes.
It’s US Thanksgiving — Great reminder for all to be GRATEFUL

GRATITUDE… I have been on twitter and facebook today and there are so many people sharing their gratitude for the people in their lives and the life that they are leading.
Gratitude is the first place to start when you want to shift something; to be grateful for where you are at — in this moment. While some many have more materially and others less, this is not what defines us. I do believe in abundance for all. For me the greatest thing to be grateful for is my free will and the right to choose the life that I want FOR ME: for myself, my family, my friends and more — all the relationships I have in my life. I know that as I learn to unconditionally love and honour me, this is mirrored in all my relationships: personal, professional, financial, health and wellness, abundance and more.
I recently had a discussion with a new friend, Vivek, and he is originally from India, from a family with very little. His path has been blessed and he was able to leave, have his education paid for from someone he has never met (done anonymously), was able to do his MBA and now he is ready to give back.
We debated about the fact that 2% (I say 1%) of the world’s population controls all the finances while the other 98/99% do not. He wants to focus shifting the paradigms of the 2%. I say it is both – The 1% need to realize that they no longer need to hoard their abundance, especially financial, and that there is enough for all. The 99% of the population need to realize that they are deserving in receiving this abundance. We all deserve food on our “table”, clean healthy water to drink and a “roof” over our head.
It still begins with gratitude…. there is so much to be grateful for — find that and cherish it. Then let us all work together, brother and sister and empower one another to be our greatest self. As we begin to find peace within, we will change the world, one person at a time.
Enjoy today!
All my love,
Sandra

I was finishing up my workshop on Empowerment Tools that can be used and brought into every day life when the young woman next to me turned to her friend and said, “hey, what can you see me doing with the rest of my life?”. She then said, if she cannot find a job she will go back to school for nursing and if she cannot find a job in Toronto, Canada she will consider going to the US.
I wanted to reach over and just grab her — HOW DARE YOU GIVE AWAY THE GREATEST GIFT WE HAVE – FREE WILL TO CHOOSE – TO BE WHO WE WANT. Talk about giving away your power.
This is YOUR life and YOU NEED TO FIND WHAT FEELS RIGHT FOR YOU. You can be the main participant in your life or an observor. Which one do you choose??
Some food for thought.
All my best,
Sandra

WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN
This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true:
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ’This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received. ‘I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, ‘ This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them. ‘ I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth. Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. ’This is the Acknowledgment Section,’ my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed. ’How is it that there is no work going on here?’ I asked.
‘So sad,’ the angel sighed. ‘After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.’
‘How does one acknowledge God’s blessings? ‘ I asked.
‘Simple,’ the angel answered. Just say, ’ Thank you, Lord. ‘
‘What blessings should they acknowledge? ‘ I asked.
‘If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world ’s wealthy.’
‘And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity. ’
‘If you woke up this morning with more health than illness … You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.’
‘If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You are ahead of 700 million people in the world. ‘
‘If you can attend a place of worship without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.. ‘
‘If your parents are still alive and still married …you are very rare. ‘
‘If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you’re unique to all those in doubt and despair. ’
Ok, what now? How can I start? If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.
ATTN: Acknowledge Dept.
‘Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people with whom to share it. ‘If you have read this far, and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not share it with others????
Learning to dance in the rain

This is an interesting movie about being grateful for whatever events happen.
Here are some of my favorite quotes are:
Any day I’m vertical is a good day….that’s what I always say
I give thanks for my health…
If you ask me, “How great are you?” I’ll answer “GREAT,” because in saying so I make it so. And I give thanks I can choose my attitude…
When life gives me dark clouds and rain, I appreciate the moisture that gives a soft curl to my hair
When life gives me sunshine, I gratefully turn my face up to feel its warmth on my cheeks
When life brings fog, I hug my sweater around me and give thanks for the cool shroud of mystery that makes the familiar seem different yet intriguing….
Powerful performance

This recent performance by Daryl Markham on the X Factor TV Show was quite powerful. He had missed the previous X Factor audition because he was the best man at his brother’s wedding. Six months later, his brother died. Despite all the odds stacked against him, he succeeded. It is very easy to give up because of an unexpected setback, but Mr. Markham chose not to.
The healing powers of honey and sugar

This article written by Dr. Julian Whitaker is about how sugar and honey could be better than regular antibiotics to treat wounds. Apparently, both sugar and honey are also beneficial for burns as well.
Here are the steps, according to the website, to treat a wound:
Protocol for Treating Wounds With Sugar
Sugar or honey dressing may be used to treat any kind of open wound or burn. (We use sugar at the clinic because it’s less messy.) It will not work on abscesses or pustules that are covered with skin. Do not use on a bleeding wound as sugar promotes bleeding.
1)Unravel a 4″ x 4″ piece of gauze into a long strip and coat it with Vaseline. Place it around the outside edges of the wound, like a donut.
2)Cover the wound with 1/4-inch of sugar. (The Vaseline “donut” will keep it in place.)
3)Place a 4″ x 4″ sponge on top of the wound. Bandage it firmly but not too snugly with a cling dressing.
4)Change the dressing every one or two days. Remove, irrigate with water, saline, or hydrogen peroxide, pat dry, and repeat steps 1-3.

It Feels Good When You Can Collaborate…

MY SON ASKED ME TO STEP IN, CALL THE MOTHER OF A BOY HE WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH… To be honest I really do not like to step in with my children as I am learning that we need to stop enabling and begin empowering our children even from a young age. That does not mean that you stop guiding, it just means that our children will have their own experiences and they will learn from them and gather their own awarenesses.
WHAT WAS I GOING TO SAY TO THIS WOMAN? When I did call I really sat down to think about how I was going to approach this without sounding like the typical interferring mother. What I love about this woman is that by profession she is a socail worker in the school board system and she gets it. I told her the situation as I knew it, I asked her what suggestions she had in handling this, I told her it may be because of my own son’s behaviour – I do not know. We left if that she will talk to her son and get back to me.
THE NEXT DAY… I get a call first thing in the morning and she tells me that she did speak to her son. We establish that the boys do have their own rules – whether they made sense to us or not – and that he did not realize that my son felt this way – excluded.
What I really loved about her is that she presented it by reversing the roles- how will you feel if… and the son admitted he will feel sad. It is such a pleasure to work with another human being in this fashion. There were lessons on both sides for I told my son that if he chooses to play than he must agree to the rules that everyone agrees to and second if he does have an issue than he needs to speak his truth and let others know.
This experience left me with such a great feeling that we are on the better path of humanity. We need to learn to collaborate and stop blaming and pointing fingers and fighting to be RIGHT. When we do the results are incredible.
All my love,
Sandra
