Happy Thanksgiving to my USA friends

Posted Friday, November 22nd, 2013. Filed Under Voices of wisdom

I know that this is the biggest holiday in the USA. It is celebrated by everyone regardless of their religion, colour, creed or background. I wish people treated each day like “Thanksgiving” for it is the one time of the year people put aside their differences and remember they are part of one country.

The USA more than Canada divides itself by party lines which is unfortunate. While there are some significant differences in view point I feel that in most cases people want the same thing just come about it in a different way.

For this weekend you can put aside all of the differences and just smile at your fellow human being and wish them the best.

For yourselves find the things that you are grateful for, what makes you happy, and just let the rest go.

I know this is a crazy time in many people lives, mine included. This week I have been focussing on me, relaxing and getting my strength back, looking around and seeing how much I have to be grateful for, and asking myself what makes me happy. Happiness to me doesn’t come through things it comes through connection. I love connecting with people.

This weekend is a great time to connect to your fellow human beings at your Thanksgiving dinner, lunches or whatever social gathering you are at.

I want to wish everyone who is celebrating Thanksgiving a wonderful, healthy and happy weekend with your families.

For those of us who are not… we can still implement the idea of gratitude, friendship, compassion and love into our lives as well.

Have an awesome weekend!

All my love,
