Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. friends

I am in the midst of shaking it up and changing it up but not too busy to step back and wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. I know that this holiday is bigger than Christmas and Easter because is includes all religions, backgrounds, colour, creed and belief system.

It is a day to put aside differences and celebrate the common theme: GRATITUDE.

There is much to be grateful for and what I have learned is that despite things going awry in my own life for the most part my life is pretty damn good; there is always someone who is worse off than me and many far worse off than me.

I am grateful for the lives I have touched. I am working on a life skills platform to bring to our youth beginning at the early ages. I am grateful for the inspiration I get from within, universe, G-d – wherever it comes. I am not going to lie some days I question my purpose. When I can get out of my own way, my “story” and acknowledging that everything is impermanent I know that in the next second of my life I can make different choices.

I hope you take this time and evaluate the good things in your life and be grateful and thankful. Mostly I ask you to look at your incredible support system, which may include 1 or 2 people or many. I ask that you take time to look at yourself and where are you not loving and honouring yourself. Breaking habits, cycles and belief systems are not easy … but worth it.

A meaningful life is much more than material things. Of course I love them as well however they do not define me or even drive me. To me my wealth begins with the authentic friendships and relationships I have, my health, my children and family and then of course my financial abundance.

I want to wish all of you celebrating a Happy Thanksgiving and find what that truly means to you and then cherish it.

For those in other parts of the world let’s join in and be grateful and thankful for what is in our lives and know that we create our own destiny so if you and not happy with something then make the decision to bring change. You don’t have to know what that is even … just make the decision and ask G-d, universe, friends, mentors, coaches, professionals for help in this process.

All my love,

Sandra

Happy Passover and Easter!

Posted Thursday, April 1st, 2010. Filed Under Voices of wisdom | Leave a Comment

I am Jewish and therefore celebrate Passover. I love this time of year for so many reasons. Passover to me is the time to celebrate FREEDOM from the “chains” that we have allowed to “hold us” in a place we do not want to be.

BREAKING CYCLES… LETTING GO…

It is also the time of Spring – anew – planting seeds and creating what we want; the type of life that we want. WHO WE ARE.

Over the last few years, I have taken this time to evaluate what am I allowing to hold me back. Which core beliefs are serving me and which ones are not serving me. It is a great checks and balance for me. I just did this today, in fact. I find it so useful.

Whichever holiday you are celebrating, take time to evaluate where you are at. Ask yourself if you are living the life that you want? Are you allowing “things” to hold you back and limit you? If so, how can you make changes so that you can move closer to the life you want and desire.

Start with gratitude .. be grateful for all things that are in your life. I have been focussing on this more and more and it really makes me feel better.

Enjoy this time with your family and friends and have a wonderful weekend.

I know I will!

All my love,

Sandra
