Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. friends

Posted Friday, November 24th, 2017. Filed Under Voices of wisdom | Leave a Comment

I am in the midst of shaking it up and changing it up but not too busy to step back and wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. I know that this holiday is bigger than Christmas and Easter because is includes all religions, backgrounds, colour, creed and belief system.

It is a day to put aside differences and celebrate the common theme: GRATITUDE.

There is much to be grateful for and what I have learned is that despite things going awry in my own life for the most part my life is pretty damn good; there is always someone who is worse off than me and many far worse off than me.

I am grateful for the lives I have touched. I am working on a life skills platform to bring to our youth beginning at the early ages. I am grateful for the inspiration I get from within, universe, G-d – wherever it comes. I am not going to lie some days I question my purpose. When I can get out of my own way, my “story” and acknowledging that everything is impermanent I know that in the next second of my life I can make different choices.

I hope you take this time and evaluate the good things in your life and be grateful and thankful. Mostly I ask you to look at your incredible support system, which may include 1 or 2 people or many. I ask that you take time to look at yourself and where are you not loving and honouring yourself. Breaking habits, cycles and belief systems are not easy … but worth it.

A meaningful life is much more than material things. Of course I love them as well however they do not define me or even drive me. To me my wealth begins with the authentic friendships and relationships I have, my health, my children and family and then of course my financial abundance.

I want to wish all of you celebrating a Happy Thanksgiving and find what that truly means to you and then cherish it.

For those in other parts of the world let’s join in and be grateful and thankful for what is in our lives and know that we create our own destiny so if you and not happy with something then make the decision to bring change. You don’t have to know what that is even … just make the decision and ask G-d, universe, friends, mentors, coaches, professionals for help in this process.

All my love,

Sandra

Peace, Love, Joy, Hope – Are They Real For You?

Our holiday wishes are all about peace, love, joy and hope. Are we saying the same old things over and over without really meaning them? Or are we taking action consistent with our holiday sayings? Gandhi says ‘Be the change you want to see in the world.’ What if we were the peace, love, joy and hope that we want to see? What would that look like? Here’s one way.

In this African tribe, when someone does something harmful, they take the person to the center of the village where the whole tribe comes and surrounds them. For two days, they will say to the man all the good things that he has done. The tribe believes that each human being comes into the world as good – each one of us only desiring safety, love, peace and happiness. But sometimes, in the pursuit of these things, people make mistakes.

The community sees those mistakes as a cry for help. They unite then to lift him, to reconnect him with his true nature, to remind him who he really is, until he fully remembers the truth of which he had been temporarily disconnected: “I am good.” Shikoba Nabajyotisaikia!NABAJYOTISAIKIA, is a compliment used in South Africa and means: “I respect you, I cherish you. You matter to me.” In response, people say SHIKOBA, which is: “So, I exist for you.” (By Evolver Social Movement)

In your leadership how can you look at your staff, your clients, your bosses and managers as intrinsically good people? When they make a mistake or do something that occurs to you as wrong, do you get judgmental, self-righteous and punitive? Or can you say, “That person got separated from his true nature? Let me hold him up, empower him to believe in himself. Let me show him peace, love, joy and hope so that he can feel peace, love, joy and hope inside himself and embody that instead.

We can’t always control the circumstances around us, but we can control our own reaction to those circumstances. We can choose to react by letting someone else’s negativity trigger our own retaliation. Or we can choose to react compassionately by looking at the person on the inside who has been diminished by all the happenings that have impacted them. By helping them see and experience their own goodness, you are truly bringing peace, love, joy and hope into this world, one person at a time. Happy Holidays!

My Heart Goes Out To The People Of Haiti

Posted Thursday, January 21st, 2010. Filed Under Voices of wisdom | Leave a Comment

MAKING SENSE OF THIS?When tragedy strikes we often ask why? What is amazing is the outpouring of heart from around the world. Why do we need a crisis to bring us together? It will be nice if we can always be this way. Perhaps this time will be different.

As for putting this into perspective I hold a belief that G-d has a plan; not one that we readily understand and/or know about. I wanted to attach something that was sent to me that gave light to this tragedy in a more spiritual way:

Karen Bishop’s WINGS article, Jan. 16, 2010:

A brief note on Haiti: The massive earthquake that occurred in Haiti this week created a monumental heart opening for the planet. The pain, suffering, and tragic loss it created opened our hearts and shifted the planet, pushing it into the heart space that it will be now operating from. These beautiful and giving souls who agreed at their soul levels to be a part of this experience, have served this planet in ways unseen for a very long time. As it was time at many of their soul levels to depart, they agreed to depart in a way that would serve the planet and take it to its new and higher level. Haiti will become a very sacred space, as it already has, and this event will be remembered for a very long time. It was a part of our very new beginning, and a part that will change the vibration and direction of our new world as well. These brave, unbelievably loving and precious souls, have given to this planet more than we could ever know. They have assisted in shifting the planet into its very new way of being that involves coming from the heart, and the honor and reverence I feel for them and the many other souls involved, goes beyond words.

With much love and gratitude,

Karen

As our hearts have been open, let’s come together and make a difference. If you want to donate money please make sure that it is going to agencies that make sure the people will see — food, water, supplies and more.

Below are a list of agencies that you can give to:
I have gathered the names of different organizations/groups provided in the Canadian paper that you can trust your donations with.

1. The Salvation Army – http://www.salvationarmy.ca or

What we can do together is send love to this country, ask that the violence subside and that the people can begin to grieve and then rebuild their lives.

Stop and take a minute for this. This energy shifts the world.

All my love,

Sandra
